World Leaders Need to Launch World Wide War on Poverty

US President George Bush and British PM Tony Blair are leading the war on terrorism, but the one they and all the political and industrial leaders of the wealthy countries in the world really need to launch is one against poverty.
They can do that by trying to make sure everyone in the world who wants a job can get one.
A job gives a person a way to make a living and chart his or her own destiny. A job is not charity. Charity makes a person feel dependent. A job gives a person strength because it gives him or her independence or the ability to make choices.
A job gives hope.
Hope can propel a person a long way, and it can make a great difference in the whole world.
